Track Competes Friday at Payton Jordan Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. — Washington State Track heads back down to Palo Alto for the Payton Jordan Invitational, this Friday. Evans Kurui will look to improve upon his 1500 meter time while Rozzy will run her first 800 of the outdoor season in which she finished second in the nation during the indoor season.
Evans currently ranks fourth in the 5k, fifth in the 10k, and 12th in the Mile in the nation. Longisa currently holds the fastest 1500 time in the nation and second fastest of NCAA all time

Last Time Out – Cougar Classic (April 24, 2026)
Eight seniors and Henry Rono were honored as the Cougars competed at the Cougar Classic, where Evans Kurui and Maya Nichols led the way with victories in their respective events. Nichols won the 1500m in 4:31.46 while Kurui captured the Henry Rono Memorial Mile in 4:03.88, highlighting a day that also featured multiple personal bests and strong finishes across the lineup.
