Captains' Corner: Adetokunbo Faleti

So I know I'm a little late but let's wrap up the tournaments and our first Pac-10 away game.
Every single game on the road was fun, we got to see how much energy we could bring to each game without our amazing fan base here in Pullman. So here's what I did just to make this a little more interesting. I interviewed our three freshmen, Brittany Tillman a.k.a "Tilly-till," Faith Hutherson a.k.a. "Faithy-faith," and Kimika Rozier a.k.a "Meka." I thought it would be cool to hear their perspectives of our fast-paced preseason, so here is what they said.
Brittany Tillman
Me: Favorite weekend so far?
Brittany: First weekend I got here we had a team bbq and went over the team rules. All of the players were here so it was like a reunion.
Me: Favorite game to win?
Brittany: Beating UNR in Reno, Nevada.
Me: Most fun road trip?
Brittany: Watching blades of glory on the bus on the way home from Montana.
Me: Favorite food on the road?
Brittany: Chipotle
Me: Favorite post game meal?
Brittany: Panda Express
Me: Best teammate moment?
Brittany: When you talk to me before each game. (Tokunbo - "We have a team ritual, before every game we do a dance to the song called Crank that by Soulja Boy. Also Kimberly, Kelly Hyder's pink action figure, is our team mascot!)
Faith Hutcherson
Me: What's been your favorite weekend so far?
Faith: The first weekend I got to WSU I got to meet everyone; it was like a crash course of WAZZU. It was all new to me.
Me: Favorite game to see us play so far?
Faith: Us playing against the Idaho Vandals. Both fans were here, the Vandals and the Cougars. It was so spirited, really cool to see that.
Me: Favorite food on the road?
Faith: Chipotle
Me: Favorite post game meal?
Faith: Panda Express
Me: Funniest moment on the road?
Faith: Zip bong (Tokunbo - "I'm not sure what she was talking about. She explained it but I didn't understand. I didn't go on that trip to Reno so I missed it, man!")
Me: Most fun road trip?
Faith: Oregon because we got to go shopping (Tokunbo - "She was smiling the whole time while answering this question.")
Me: Best teammate moment?
Faith: When Moe (co-captain) came and talked to me before I practice, it was a good heart-to-heart.
Me: Most celebrated point?
Faith: When anyone on our team gets a SOLO block those are amazing!
Kimika Rozier
Me: Favorite weekend so far?
Kimika: First weekend I got here I got to meet all the other athletes.
Me: Favorite game to watch?
Kimika: UNR in Reno.
Me: Favorite post game meal?
Kimika: Chipotle
Me: Most fun road trip?
Kimika: Going to Colorado, we just had fun together.
Me: Most celebrated point?
Kimika: When Brittany Johnson got a solo block in Reno.
Me: Best teammate moment?
Kimika: When you talked to me about deciding to redshirt because you went through it already.
So this is the road trip wrap up! I love our team and especially the freshmen. I'm looking forward to playing at home this weekend because our fans are so awesome and loyal. So see you guys soon!
