This weekend was a blast! We won our tournament - what a success that was. I am so proud of our team. But none of our success this weekend can go without saying thank you to you our loyal fans. You guys created so much energy for our team!

I love our Coug fans. How awesome are all you guys. Friday was crazy. All day all the players and I were extremely excited, we were about to play our first preseason game in our own gym! What a way to start the season off with our home crowd. After classes and pre-game meal, our stomachs were twisting and turning! We couldn't wait to get on our court and have fun with each other and just play!

We played Portland, a good team we had to work hard to beat. I remember looking up a few times when I was out and getting wide-eyed at the amazing support we had from the fans. And of course our GREAT Superfans were front and center. After the game we signed posters and interacted with all the fans. That's always a good time especially the little ones who say they love coming and watching the games.

Saturday we did it all over again...pre-game meal, started getting excited to play in front of our Pullman community again. After we had our traditional dance party in the locker room we were ready to play. We played Northern Colorado, not far into the game our setter Moe (Maureen Perez) tripped and fell on her face during one play. Man that was a great pass I was thinking as Stephanie was next to me on the sidelines laughing hysterically while I was trying to maintain my focus. Just a highlight of that game for me. Ha ha.

Then at 7:00 we played South Dakota State, one of the teams we lost to last year. Not this year. We played great as a team and pulled off the win. But none of our success can go without thanking our Cougar family, the fans. See you at Idaho!
