WSU VOLLEYBALL MAKES TREK TO MOUNTAINS FOR PAC-12 ACTION
The Washington State University volleyball team (12-16 overall, 4-14 Pac-12) hits the road for the inaugural action against the newest conference members...Cougars play Colorado (5-22, 0-19) Friday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. MT (4 p.m. PT) in the Coors Events Center in Boulder...Cougars at Buffaloes match will be broadcast by ROOT Sports Mountain and carried LIVE on ROOT Sports Northwest beginning at 4 p.m. PT...announcers are Marc Stout and Pii Aiu...WSU takes on Utah (9-19, 4-15) Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. PT) in the Crimson Court in Salt Lake City...both contests will be broadcast live on KQQQ 1150 AM radio in the Pullman area, and on Cougars All-Access subscription internet connection.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
First year Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (12-16 at WSU, 124-40 in 5-year career) is no stranger to Washington State volleyball...an outstanding student and athlete at WSU, Greeny was an All-Pac-10 player and member of three NCAA teams including the 1996 Elite Eight team...also an assistant coach for three more NCAA appearances including the 2002 Elite Eight team...had highly successful NAIA coaching career at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) with four-year record of 112-24 (.824)...assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

REBUILDING THE COUGAR VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM
** Overall record of 12-16 = six more wins than in all of 2010 season
** Pac-12 record of 4-14 = four more wins than in 2010 season
** WSU has losses to nationally-ranked opponents - California (No. 4&5), UCLA (No. 1& 6), Stanford (No. 7&3), USC (No. 4 &13), Oregon (No. 15 and No. 18) Or to teams also receiving votes = Texas A&M, Arizona
** 2011 Cougars = 1 senior, four returning letterwinners, 11 newcomers, only one player on 2011 team recruited by Greeny
** Senior Meagan Ganzer leads Pac-12/ 6th nationally with 4.82 kills per set and leads Pac-12 with 5.35 points per set/6th nationally.
