Volleyball Wraps up Season with Four Home Matches

COUGAR VOLLEYBALL WRAPS UP SEASON WITH FOUR HOME MATCHES The Washington State University volleyball team (12-16, 2-14 Pac-12), the Road Warriors of the Pac-12 Conference up until this point in the season, are home to host Oregon State (13-15, 3-13 Pac-12) Fri., Nov. 16, and No. 4 Oregon (22-3, 13-2 Pac-12) Sat., Nov. 17...both matches start at 7 p.m. in Bohler Gym...Little Spikers youth volleyball clinic participants from the Fall 2012 clinics will demonstrate their skills in drills performed during the break at the Nov. 17 WSU-Oregon match. BEING THANKFUL Cougar volleyball will host two home matches during Thanksgiving week...WSU hosts Arizona Wed., Nov. 21 at 8 p.m...Fri., Nov. 23, after the 12:30 p.m. Apple Cup football game, WSU hosts No. 6 Washington at 8 p.m...both matches will be televised on the Pac-12 TV Networks from Bohler Gym. LOOKING AHEAD NCAA National Letters of Intent signing day for volleyball is Nov. 14...this is the first entire class of recruits signed out of high school by Head Coach Jen Greeny and the WSU Volleyball coaching staff...watch for the bios and photos of the new players coming to WSU in 2013 at the official website, www.wsucougars.com. COUGAR COACHING STAFF Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (24-36 at WSU, 2nd year; 136-60 in career, 6th year)...during her first season Greeny's team doubled the total number of wins from the previous season, including four more wins in the elite Pac-12 Conference action...Meagan Ganzer became the first Cougar to be named to All-Pac-12 and All-Pacific Region teams since 2002, and All-American, the fourth in WSU history and the first since 1996....assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.
