WSU VOLLEYBALL REMAINS ON ROAD FOR AIR FORCE ACADEMY INVITE
The Washington State University volleyball team (7-2) takes its six-match win streak to the Air Force Academy Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo...Fri., Sept. 14 WSU takes on Norfolk State (2-8) at 11 a.m. PT and meets CSU Bakersfield (2-4) at 5 p.m...Sat., Sept. 15 Cougars meet host Air Force (3-6) at 6 p.m...all matches will be at Falcon Court at East Gym...all WSU volleyball road matches are broadcast live on KQQQ 1150 AM and the internet.
WSU won the Nevada Wolf Pack Invitational with victories over Cal State Fullerton (25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23), Nevada (25-10, 25-11, 25-23) and CSU Bakersfield (25-18, 25-22, 25-14)...Jaicee Harris (47 kills, .252 hpct., 8 aces, 5 blocks) was selected the tournament MVP and Rachel Todorovich (34 kills, .295 hpct., 7 digs, 12 blocks) was named to the all-tournament team...also contributing to the Cougar wins were Marcelina Glab (19 kills, .250 hpct., 22 blocks), Camryn Irwin (9 kills, .615 hpct., 115 assists, 21 disgs, 15 blocks) and Kate Sommer (49 digs).
COUGAR COACHING STAFF TURNING THE PROGRAM AROUND
Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (19-22 at WSU, 2nd year; 132-46 in career, 6th year)...during her first season Greeny's team doubled the total number of wins from the previous season, including four more wins in the elite Pac-12 Conference action...the Cougar team also won 23 of 25 sets in the 2012 spring...Meagan Ganzer became the first Cougar to be named to All-Pac-12 and All-Pacific Region teams since 2002 when Greeny was as assistant coach, and All-American, the fourth in WSU history and the first since 1996....assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

COUGAR VOLLEYBALL ON TELEVISION
The Pac-12 Conference launched the Pac-12 Networks Aug. 15, 2012... friends, family and avid volleyball fans around the country will be treated to a 12 broadcasts of WSU volleyball matches during the 2012 season on the Pac-12 Networks...five home matches and seven Cougar volleyball road contests will be televised.
"We are thrilled with the amount of television coverage we will have with the new Pac-12 Network this year," WSU Head Coach Jen Greeny said. "It is sensational to see the Pac-12 make such a strong commitment to televise the sport of volleyball. This is a great schedule and we are excited to play 12 matches on TV this fall."
