WSU VOLLEYBALL HOSTS COUGAR CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT
The Washington State University volleyball team (1-2) plays on its home court at Bohler Gym this weekend....after opening the season at the Idaho Nike Tournament by defeating Montana (3-0), losing to Pacific (0-3) and dropping a heartbreaker at Idaho (2-3)...Jaicee Harris (soph., OH, Chelan, Wash.) was named to the all-tournament team after slamming 51 kills for a 4.64 kps average...WSU will face three foes this weekend at the Cougar Challenge: Alabama State (0-4), Seattle University (2-2) and Weber State (1-2)...for complete tournament schedule and ticket information visit the Cougar Challenge Tournament Central.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (13-22 at WSU, 2nd year; 125-46 in career, 6th year)...during her first season Greeny's team doubled the total number of wins from the previous season, including four more wins in the elite Pac-12 Conference action...the Cougar team also won 23 of 25 sets in the spring of 2012...senior Meagan Ganzer became the first Cougar to be named to All-Pac-12 and All-Pacific Region teams since 2002 when Greeny was as assistant coach, and All-American, the fourth in WSU history and the first since 1996....assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.
