SURPLUS’ WSU CAREER
JUNIOR (2000): Began her WSU career with back-to-back all-tournament selections - first the Cougar Challenge and then the Fresno State Invitational All-Tournament teams…proved to be unflappable setter…13.05 assists per game average is fourth in Pac-10 rankings but 14.12 apg is second in Pac-10 only stats…total assists of 1,357 is fifth among WSU all-time career leaders…hit .583 at Oregon with 7 kills and no errors in 12 attacks…nailed three service aces at Oregon State…named to 2000 All-Pac-10 honorable mention team…during spring 2001 practice, went to block a ball and hyper-extended her right elbow, popping an existing bone chip into the wrong place...needed surgery to repair and is rehabbing through summer.

FRESHMAN (1998): Team finished 33-14, third in the Scenic West Athletic Conference…named to Scenic West All-Region second team…averaged 11.40 assists per game, second-best in SWAC…hit .327, sixth in SWAC standings.
SOPHOMORE (1999): Scenic West Athletic Conference co-champions with 45-4 record…ranked #2 nationally…Region 18 Southern Division champions…selected Reg. 18 So. Div. tournament MVP…NJCAA national tournament runners-up…selected first team NJCAA All-America…named co-MVP of the NJCAA National Tournament…her 10.81 assists per game was eighth nationally…after post-season play, finished with 11.33 apg…also contributed 0.77 blocks per game and a .392 hitting percentage.
SURPLUS’ HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Earned a total of eight varsity letters in prep career…first three years at Burns High where her mother was volleyball coach then senior year at Gresham High where she played volleyball for coach Lori Anderson...as a FRESHMAN played middle-blocker and setter on volleyball…earned first team all-league and third team all-state…named team MVP…as post in basketball, earned first team all-tourney…during her SOPHOMORE seasons, was volleyball captain and earned first team all-league and all-state as team placed second at state...awarded MVP again…basketball also earned state berth…JUNIOR year again achieved first team all-league and all-state and team MVP…team took fifth at state…tennis team also placed fifth at state tourney where she finished fourth in doubles…won school tennis MVP…named prep Athlete of the Year...SENIOR year moved to Gresham High…achieved first team all-league, second team all-state and second team all-state tournament...voted team MVP.
