WSU Opens Season with Cougar Classic

Women's tennis kicks off season by hosting Cougar Classic Sept. 18-20

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University women's tennis team will begin their 2009-10 campaign with the Cougar Classic tournament in Pullman, Sept. 18-20 at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Ten teams will compete in the tournament including Boise State, Eastern Washington, University of Idaho, Gonzaga, University of Montana, Montana State, University of Portland, Portland State and Seattle University.

Tournament format for the singles bracket will consist of two draws of 32. The doubles bracket with two draws of 16.

Matches begin on Friday at 8:15 a.m., 8:30 a.m. Saturday and 8:15 a.m. Sunday. Results will be available online at www.wsucougars.com.
