Cougar junior scheduled to play Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. PT

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State junior Liudmila Vasilieva begins play at the 2012 NCAA Women's Singles Championship Wednesday morning when she meets Anna Bartenstein of Miami in Athens, Ga., site of the 2012 Championships.

Vasilieva, ranked No. 51 nationally, meets the 18th-ranked Bartenstein in the opening round. It will be the first meeting between the two players.

The 2012 Championship is the second for Vasilieva, who also participant in the singles draw in 2010.
