WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State senior Elisabeth Fournier has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week for January 23-29, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.

Fournier became the school's all-time wins leader last Friday as the Cougars defeated Seattle and Portland State in Pullman. Fournier recorded her 90th and 91st career wins, passing current WSU assistant coach Ekaterina Burduli's all-time record of 90. After two more matches Saturday, Fournier extended her total to 93 career wins.

Fournier, who reached the NCAA Singles Championship in 2010, improved to 18-2 on the season after going 4-0 in singles for the week, surrendering just nine total games. She also went 4-0 in doubles, teaming with Andjela Kankaras at No. 2.

Fournier is the first Cougar to earn player of the week honors since Liudmila Vasilieva captured the award April 13, 2010.

The Cougars return to the court Friday against Eastern Washington at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse. The match begins at 9:30 a.m.
