Cougar Tennis Slams Iowa 8-1

SEATTLE - The Washington State women's tennis team cruised to an easy 8-1 victory over the University of Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday afternoon in Seattle.
Cougar Narelle Hall, who won her No. 4 singles match against Carolina Delgado 6-4, 6-2, moved into first place on WSU's career singles victory list with 61 wins. Hall was tied with Brenda Tate, 1982-85 letterwinner, at the end of last season.
No. 1 doubles team Andrea Reisz and Tunde Nagy improve to 4-1 in 1997 beating the Hawkeyes No. 1 double team, Kristen McCracken and Wolverton, 8-4.
Washington State (3-2) is ranked 50th nationally and fourth in the Northwest Region
WSU will face the No. 45 University of Washington, Sunday, February 9, at 12:30 p.m.. The Cougars have won three straight matches against the Huskies.
