SEATTLE - The Washington State women's tennis team won four of six singles matches on their way to a 7-2 victory over the University of Pacific Tigers Friday morning.
Melissa Pine's 6-1, 6-2 victory against Pacific's Kendra Lamb in No. 6 doubles gave WSU a 4-2 lead after the singles competition. The Cougars clinched the victory with a quick 8-0 win by Andrea Reisz and Tunde Nagy in No. 1 doubles.
The win moves the Cougars to an even 2-2 this season.
The Cougars will take on the University of Iowa Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center on the University of Washington campus. WSU will then face the University of Washington, Sunday, February 9, at 12:30 p.m.. The Cougars have won three straight matches against the Huskies.
