Toth Captures Second Place In Singles At Pac-10 Invitational

OJAI, Calif.-- Washington State sophomore Amy Toth came up short in the finals match of the Pac-10 Invitational singles draw Sunday. Toth was put down by Southern California's Carine Vermeulen, 7-5, 6-3 to receive second place in Pac-10 Invitational singles play. Toth met Vermeulen earlier this year, March 11 and fell in that match as well, 6-3, 6-1. "Amy played hard," Washington State Head Coach Lisa Hart said. "We're proud of her effort, but credit to Carine (Vermeulen) she's one of the best No. 5 singles players in the country." WSU RESULTS Pac-10 Invitational Singles-Final Carine Vermeulen (USC) def.
