The No. 74 Cougars Down the Sea Warriors, 6-1

Honolulu, Hawaii. - The Washington State women's tennis team rolled to its fourth-straight win with a victory over Hawaii-Pacific Thursday, 6-1.
Hawaii-Pacific jumped out to the early lead after winning two doubles matches earning the opening point. That would be the only point that the Sea Warriors would secure as the Cougars went on to sweep the singles matches.
At the No. 1 slot, the Washington State tandem of Ekaterina Kamendova and Aleksandra Cekic suffered a tough loss to the hands of Ingrid Cseh and Zora Vickova, 8-5. The Hawaii-Pacific pairing of Lauren Shin and Anastasia Ageychik downed the Cougars No. 2 squad which consisted of Bianca Selaru and Marina Nicolas, 8-3.
Singles play was a different story for WSU, the Cougars No. 1 singles player Kamendova cruised past Vickova, 6-2, 6-0. At the No. 2 position, Aleksandra Cekic continued her hot play with an impressive three-set win over Nina Mihova, 1-6, 6-4, 10-3.
Fournier earned her 18th victory of the season with a straight set win over Ageychik, 6-2, 6-0. Ioana Oprea earned a victory at the No. 4 position downing the Sea Warriors Cseh,
Marina Nicolas earned a victory at the No. 5 slot with straight set win over Wikstrom, 6-2, 6-3. At No. 6 singles, Selaru prevailed in a three-set marathon over Mihova, 0-6, 6-3, 7-5.
The Cougars will return to the court Thursday March 19, where they will face Hawaii.
