Coach Tom Jager to Swim in RCP Tiburon Sprint Classic

TIBURON, Calif. - Early next month, Washington State Swimming Head Coach Tom Jager is set to race against Matt Biondi in a 50-yard freestyle dual at the second RCP Tiburon Sprint Classic. Coach Jager is a seven-time Olympic medalist and was the world record holder in the 50-meter free for 10 years. He is taking on Biondi, who is an 11-time Olympic medalist and 1988 Olympic Champion in the 50-meter free. The two swimming legends will face off in the final race of the day. Dubbed "the fastest swim meet in history," the RCP Tiburon Sprint Classic is an international competition showcasing some of the world's best 50 freestylers. This year's participants include swimming standouts Ricky Berens, Dana Vollmer, Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace, Nick Brunelli, and Rowdy Gaines to name a few. The event will be held, Sept. 8, 2012 at a private home in Tiburon, Calif., and benefits Hospice by the Bay and the USA Swimming Foundation.
