Washington State swimming returns home to take on Pac-12 opponent Utah at the final home meet of the season Friday Feb. 15, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Gibb Pool...meet will also be Senior Night recognizing seniors Jenna Bekker, Evelina Bieleckaite, Kelsey Bruggman, and Shelbi Luchini.
COUGAR CATCH-UP
The Cougars continued their winning streak defeating CSU Bakersfield, 172-116...junior Emma Johansson took first in the 100 back (57.63) and 100 fly (56.98)...freshman Loree Olson touched the wall before everyone else in the 200 back (2:04.04) and 200 I.M. (2:08.42)...other Cougar highlights came from Nicole Proulx winning the 100 free with a time of 51.91...freshman Frederikke Hall claimed her first victory as a Cougar in the 100 breast (1:06.34)...Presley Wetterstrom won the 200 breast clocking a time of 2:20.77...senior Shelbi Luchini was also among the Cougar triumphs finishing first in the 200 fly (2:06.88).
HIGHLIGHTING UTAH
Last season Utah finished seventh at the Pac-12 Championships...Utes are 6-5 for dual meets this season including wins over Oregon State and BYU...last season the Cougars lost to the Utes, 147-115.
