Cougar Swimming Completes Day One of Conference Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Washington State swimming kicked off Pac-12 Championships competing in the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay, Wednesday. The Cougars fielded two relays in the 200 medley relay. The `B' relay of Loree Olson, Kiana Sullenberger, Kelsey Bruggman, and Anne Kenney finished with a time of 1:43.20, only half a second away from the season best time. The Cougar `A' relay was disqualified. WSU also fielded a team in the 800 freestyle relay, but was disqualified as well. "It was a tough day with some false starts," said Cougar Head Coach Tom Jager, "But, we can look forward to tomorrow. There are a lot of events left for us." Day two of Pac-12 Championships continues Thursday with preliminary heats at 11 a.m. and final heats at 6 p.m.
