Cougar Soccer Waves The Flag in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Washington State soccer team will open the NCAA Championship against No. 21 Portland in the first round, Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. The Cougars, who won their last-three regular season matches to earn their fourth at-large bid in the last-five seasons, will face a Pilots team that is a No. 4 seed in the 64-team field. Washington State arrived in the Rose City, Wednesday night after a bus ride from Pullman.
Today, the Cougars had breakfast at the hotel before heading to practice at Merlo Field on the Portland campus. Washington State Head Coach Keidane McAlpine took time to speak with wsucougars.com about his team's season as the Cougars begin their road to the College Cup.
