In the waning seconds, Lindsay Elston puts a harmless shot on frame and Gurveen Clair is there once again.
A shot off the left foot of Mariah Cameron in the 109th minute just misses the far post.
Ali Fenter gets a shot from the right side in the box and it is high in the 105th minute.
In the 103rd minute, Sarah Martinez gets a good look, but Gurveen Clair tips the ball over the bar for her best save of the night. Washington State clears the ensuing corner kick.
In the first minute of the second overtime, Brandi Vega gets a run up the right side. She plays a ball into the box to Jocelyn Jeffers who passes out wide left to Tiara Pittman. A shot from Pittman gives the Cougars a corner kick, but Washington State does not convert.
The end of the first overtime arrives. Washington State had three shots in the 10-minute session after being held to five in regulation.
With about 30 seconds left in the first overtime, a free kick for Washington creates the best chance of the period for the Huskies. Jaclyn Softli's header in the box is on frame, but Gurveen Clair is there for her sixth save of the night.
Eileen Maes nearly provided the game-winner in the 95th minute from a tight angle on the left side, but the ball trickles across the goal mouth.
The first substitution of overtime is in the 94th minute. Jaclyn Softli is in for Washington to replace Kelli Stewart.
In the 92nd minute, a run by Brandi Vega generates a low hard shot that requires a diving save by Washington's Jorde Lafontaine-Kussmann. Seconds later, Eileen Maes blasts an attempt high from 25 yards out.
Washington outshot Washington State 9-2 in the second half with each team putting one on frame. The Cougars have a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
As overtime begins, the match reaches the two hour mark.
With less the 10 seconds left in regulation, Brandi Vega's cross from the right is cleared and the Cougars and Huskies head to overtime for the fourth-straight season.
Into the 87th minute and Washington's Kelli Stewart is back in, replacing Chelsea Archer.
A foul on Washington leads to a Washington State corner kick in the 86th minute. The Cougars are increasing the pressure on the Huskies.
A lucky bounce gives the Cougars a corner kick in the 82nd minute, but the Huskies clear the ball off an ensuing scramble.
Sarah Martinez, Washington's leading scorer, fails to pull the trigger at the top of the box and one-too-many passes results in a turnover by the Huskies in the 80th minute.
Into the 78th minute now and Washington is pressing up like a team down a goal rather than a team that is tied.
A good individual effort to win a ball on the right side by Jocelyn Jeffers and a great job by Mariah Cameron to get to goal gives Washington State a chance in the 72nd minute. Cameron fires a shot hard in the box and Jorde Lafontaine-Kussmann is forced to make a tremendous save to keep the game 0-0.
The scoreboard clock is now counting down instead of up and everything appears back on track with about 19 minutes left in regulation.
Seconds later, Allie Beahan in for Washington, replacing Christina Archer.
Unofficially in the 69th minute, Mariah Cameron's effort results in Cougar corner kick.
The backup clock and the television clock are about a minute and a half off as Washington's game personnel tries to fix the issue. Beau Bremer is back in for Washington State and Tiara Pittman takes a rest. Alex Webber is back in for Washington, replacing Kelli Stewart.
I think we are in the 64th minute as confusion continues as the scorer's table. Chelsea Archer is in for Washington and Hillary Zevenbergen heads to the bench.
The scoreboard is out for a third time, but the referee is still keeping the time on the field.
The clock stopped again at the 60-minute mark.
The scoreboard is working again and we are back to action.
There is a momentary stop in play as the scoreboard went out.
In the 57th minute, a cross into the box by Washington results in a chance for Christina Archer on the right side, but again Washington's aim is high.
Lindsay Elston fires high from 25 yards out for Washington in the 54th minute.
A great run by Tiara Pittman as she dribbles past three defenders and takes the ball from the Washington State side of the field deep into Washington territory. A foul on the Huskies results in a free kick from the right, but Washington clears it.
A Washington corner kick in the 50th minute from the right side is cleared out of the box by Eileen Maes.
Sarah Martinez's shot in the 47th minute is deflected by the Cougars and the Huskies have their first corner kick of the match. Martinez heads the ball over the endline off the set piece and it is a goal kick for Washington State.
Some Cougar fans on the far side are voicing their displeasure with a goal kick ruling for the Huskies as opposed to a Washington State corner kick.
The second half is underway.
A free kick played into the box by Washington in the 42nd minute is defended well by Ali Fenter who clears the ball with a slide.
In the 37th minute, Washington brings Hillary Zevenbergen and Christina Archer off the bench, replacing Jaclyn Softli and Allie Beahan. Bethanie Skelton is first off the bench for the Cougars as Brandi Vega gets a breather.
Late in the 30th minute brings the first substitutions of the match as Kelli Stewart enters for Washington replacing Alex Webber.
Momentum is definitely with Washington. A dangerous cross into the box fizzles out for the Huskies when Jaclyn Softli mishits a shot that is saved by Gurveen Clair.
In the 25th minute, Washington has another version of a fast break and Gurveen Clair is forced to make s save on a shot from 20 yards out by Annie Sittauer.
The Huskies counter attack and have a 2-on-1, but Gurveen Clair comes about 30 yards out of the net to clear the ball to the sideline.
Sarah Martinez takes a low hard shot that Gurveen Clair is in position to smother early in the 21st minute. Washington now holds a 4-3 shot advantage.
Brandi Vega's shot at the top of the box went wide right early in the 13th minute.
The Cougars earn the first corner kick of the night in the 12th minute, but the Huskies clear the ball.
The first foul comes in the 11th minute and is charged to Washington.
The Cougars generate a scoring chance, but Jacquelyn Roth's shot from a tough angle on the left side is saved nicely by Jorde Lafontaine-Kussmann. Brandi Vega's shot on the rebound is blocked by a defender.
Early in the eighth minute, neither team has a shot, and the Cougars were just whistled offside.
It is a cold night in Seatle at Husky Soccer Field. The match is about to begin in front of a national television audience.
