Sasha Baines... Senior midfielder from Everett, Wash.

Nickname(s)...Sash, Sushi.

Favorite movie(s)...Love and Basketball - best love movie of ALL time.

Favorite TV show...Nip/Tuck because it is so unpredictable and suspenseful. The Flavor of Love because Flavor Flav is ridiculous and cracks me up!

Favorite color...Purple!!! Just because it's obviously the best color ever, but I feel a little guilty loving purple so much since the Huskies are purple.

Favorite restaurant food...Whiskey River BBQ Burger from Red Robin. We don't have a Red Robin close by so it's always a treat to have when I make it home to the Westside.

Favorite class at WSU...Teaching and Learning 302 & 303. I loved this class because my professor was Dr. Akmal and he was the best teacher I have ever had. Also this class was during summer school so everyone in class became friends, which made for a great time.

CD I am currently listening to...I usually listen to mixes, but some of my favorite artists are Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Ja Rule, and Usher.

Three things I have with me on the road...My iPod, my Cougar Binder (not kidding... I always read over stuff to help me focus before a game), and my cell phone.

What or who makes me laugh the hardest...Angela Fajardo can make me laugh pretty hard, mainly just when she talks. She says the most random stuff. And for the longest time I always thought it was hilarious when people slipped on the ice during the winter, until it happened to me and I realized that falling on ice is embarrassing and not funny!

Coolest person you've ever met...My soccer trainer Tote. He has had a big impact on my life and really helped with all aspects of my soccer career.

When I grow up, I want to...Be a middle school teacher. I love working with kids and I think being a teacher is a worthwhile and important profession.

Best thing about WSU (Pullman)...I love being a Cougar so much! I love the community atmosphere and have made so many wonderful friends who make my life splendid.

Most frequently dialed number on my phone...My mom. I call her for everything. She is always there when I need her and listens to all of my pointless stories. She's the BEST!

If I could hangout with one person, living or dead, it would be...Oprah - I would love to meet her. She has broken so many stereotypes and overcome so many obstacles to get where she is. I think she is extremely intelligent and has a unique perspective on life. It would be amazing to have a conversation with her.

My most prized possession...All of my pictures. I love taking pictures; they bring back so many memories and good times. I could look at the same pictures over and over again and still appreciate them.

Since coming to WSU, I have learned...It's important to live it up and have a good time. There's always stressful times, but this year I really want to appreciate everything and not take anything for granted. Now I'm a senior and after I leave WSU I want to look back and feel confident that I made the most of my college experience.
