THIS WEEK: Washington State travels to Las Vegas for the UNLV Rebel Classic...Cougars play UNLV Friday, Sept. 21 and Nevada Sunday, Sept. 23...both matches start at 1:30 p.m.

COUGARS MOVE INTO NATIONAL RANKINGS: After a pair of wins in the Notre Dame Inn at Saint Mary's Classic last week, (1-0 vs. No. 16 Oklahoma State and 2-1 in double-overtime vs. Princeton), the Cougars moved into the national rankings in three of the four major polls...WSU is ranked 11th by Soccer America, 23rd by Soccer Buzz and 25th by Soccer Times...Cougars are receiving votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

WSU OFF TO HOT START: The Cougars are 4-0-1 marking the second time in school history WSU is undefeated through five matches...Cougars began the 2002 campaign with five straight wins.

ABOUT UNLV: The Rebels are 3-2-1 and receiving votes in the West Region by Soccer Buzz...UNLV has won both its home matches this season...coming off a 1-0-1 weekend with a 1-0 win at Pepperdine and a 1-1 tie with UC Santa Barbara...Katie Carney leads the Rebels with three goals, two assists and eight points.

COUGAR-REBEL SERIES: Washington State leads 2-1 with the home team winning all three matches...Cougars won in 2000 and 2006 and Rebels captured the 2001 meeting...Anna Miller and Brooke Bemis scored goals for WSU in last year's meeting.

WSU AGAINST THE MOUNTAIN WEST: The Cougars are 12-11-2 all-time against current members of the Mountain West Conference...under Matt Potter, WSU is 4-3-2, including a 3-3 tie with Utah in Pullman, Sept. 9.

COUGAR-WOLF PACK SERIES: Nevada has won both meetings posting a 3-0 victory at home in 2005 and a 2-1 triumph in Pullman last season...Kiersten Dallstream scored with an assist from Carly Dobratz last season.
