June 18, 2012
Pac-12 Networks Channel Finder WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Washington State University women's soccer team will be featured seven times throughout the 2012 season on Pac-12 Networks broadcasts, the conference announced Monday. The television schedule includes two national broadcasts, at UCLA and at Stanford, along with five regional broadcasts. Coming off a successful 2011 season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Championship, Washington State will make its first network appearance in a home contest against Hawaii (Sept. 14), with a kick time of 4 p.m. from Lower Soccer Field. "The Pac-12 television schedule makes me very excited for our student-athletes," said Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine. "These young women will get to showcase their talents for more family, friends, and fans across the country." The Cougars open Pac-12 play at UCLA Sept. 20 in a nationally-televised game beginning at 7 p.m. and will have back-to-back televised games the following weekend when they travel to Utah (Sept. 28) and Colorado (Sept. 30). Those games will begin at noon and 1:30 p.m., respectively. A televised contest against USC (Oct. 12) concludes a three-match homestand with that match starting at 1 p.m. The Cougars' trip to defending national champion Stanford (Oct. 18) will be featured in prime time with a 7:30 p.m. kick. The Cougars' television schedule concludes Nov. 2 when they host Washington in a 2 p.m. match at Lower Soccer Field. "This is a fantastic opportunity for people to see what makes Coug fans the greatest with our home television games against Hawaii, USC, and Washington," McAlpine continued. "UCLA and Stanford on the road are already big enough and national television only makes them that much better."
