June 4, 2012

PULLMAN, Wash. - Alexis Thode has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in soccer at Washington State University, Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine announced, Monday.

A three-year letterwinner at Bothell (Wash.) High School, Thode was a goalkeeper and a two-year captain as a prep. She earned all-league recognition three times, including a first team selection as a junior.

"Alexis is very athletic," McAlpine said. "She will add depth and great competition to our talented group of goalkeepers."

Thode is a three-time recipient of the WIAA Outstanding Scholastic Award. She played for FC Alliance Gold '93 coached by former Washington State goalkeeper Katie Hultin.
