Cougar Soccer Begins Spring Season In Walla Walla

March 4, 2005

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State soccer team will play its first spring season games Saturday in Walla Walla, Wash. The Cougars will play Boise State at 11 a.m. at Walla Walla Community College and then Gonzaga in a 5 p.m. match at Whitman University.

"It is great to be a part of a community event like this," WSU Head Coach Matt Potter said. "We are excited for the opportunity to play again after the winter break. We are looking to pick up where we left off and to build upon what we learned in the fall.

"Personally I am excited to see where the leadership and dynamics of the team will change after losing our senior class," Potter added. "We're looking to see who is going to step forward and take on the responsibility of leading the group."
