Cory McCoy is no stranger to Washington State University and this season he enters
the collegiate-coaching ranks as an assistant with the Cougars.
A 2009 graduate of Washington State with a bachelor's degree in communication, McCoy was a manager for the Cougar soccer program each of the last five seasons. Among his responsibility in that role was serving as the team's video coordinator.
A native of Spokane, Wash., McCoy was a three-year varsity soccer player for Shadle
Park High School where he was the team captain as a senior. He was a member of
Shadle Park's academic honor roll.
He played club soccer for the Spokane Scotties where he was a captain for seven
seasons and a member of three-straight district championship teams.
At age 23, McCoy is the youngest full-time assistant coach currently in the
prestigious Pacific-10 Conference.
