THIS WEEK
After a momentous final round in the Price's "Give `Em Five" Intercollegiate, and the following week off from competition, the Washington State women's golf team will compete in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted by UNLV...tournament is October 21-23 at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas.
THE COURSE
The Stallion Mountain Golf Club will play at par 72 and 6,230 yards for the tournament...competing teams will play 18 holes each of the three days of competition...tee times will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday and Monday...Tuesday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m.
THE FIELD
Joining host school No. 36 UNLV in the tournament will be, in order of national ranking: No. 25 Penn State, No. 37 Wisconsin, No. 41 Indiana, No. 48 Missouri, No. 54 Kansas State, No. 58 Washington State, No. 63 Minnesota, No. 69 Long Beach State, No. 71 Mississippi State, No. 73 Kennesaw State, No. 84 Fresno State, No. 85 San Diego State, No. 88 Idaho, No. 128 Colorado State, No. 144 New Mexico State, and No. 169 North Texas.
HEAD COACH Kelli Kamimura SAYS
"One of the things we are really looking forward to at UNLV is being able to see a wide variety of teams - from the east coast, the midwest, the west coast - that we might only see once this year. This gives us a good opportunity to play with them and really go out there and play well, and hopefully get a win over them."
