Cougar Women Open Season with Home Tournament

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State University women's golf team will be hosting the second annual Inland Cup, Sept. 21-23 at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash...the 13-team field will play 18 holes each Monday through Wednesday, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. all three days.

The Course: Palouse Ridge, a par-72 course opened in August 2008, will play at 6,126 yards for the event.

Debut for Kamimura: First-year head coach Kelli Kamimura will be coaching her first tournament for the Cougars...Kamimura was hired as head coach in July...she most recently served as the associate women's golf coach at Pepperdine.

The Field: The 14-team field will include Boise State, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Oregon State, Portland State, Nevada, Sacramento State, Seattle University, Washington State and Weber State.

Competing For WSU: This week's Cougar contingent includes redshirt junior Allison Travis, sophomore Kristen Allard and freshmen Emma Betland, Alexandra Thompson and Ellen Park.

Results: Results after each day of play will be posted at www.wsucougars.com, and live nine-hole scoring will also be available at www.golfstat.com.
