Three Cougars Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Accolades

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Kristen Allard, Emma Betland and Ellen Park of the Washington State women's golf team each earned Pac-12 Conference All-Academic honors, commissioner Larry Scott announced Thursday. Allard earned a spot on the second team after appearing in all 12 events and posting a 3.43 GPA while majoring in hospitality business management. The Porterville, Calif. native earned all-academic honors three times during her WSU career. Betland, a junior from Forbes, Australia, received honorable mention for the second straight year and posted three top-25 finishes while competing in all 12 events this season. Park, a junior from Cupertino, Calif., earns her second career all-academic honor after appearing in seven events during the 2011-12 campaign. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
