Cougar Women Compete at Bruin Wave Invitational

PULLMAN, Wash. - On Tap This Week: The Washington State University women's golf team continues its spring schedule when it travels to Santa Clarita, Calif. for the Bruin Wave Invitational, Feb. 28 - March 2, 2011. The event, co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine, will be 54 holes spread out over three days, with the teams playing 18 holes each day.
The Course: The Valley Course at the Robinson Ranch Golf Club in Santa Clarita, Calif., will play at 6,282 yards and a par 72 for the tournament.
The Field: Joining the Cougars in the 15-school field will be UCLA (3), Arizona (10), Pepperdine (23), Texas (25), Stanford (29), Oklahoma State (46), San Diego State (48), BYU, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oregon State and UNLV (Top 50 Golfweek.com rankings).
Representing WSU: Competing for the Cougars this week will be junior Kristen Allard, sophomores Emma Betland, Ellen Park and Ali Thompson, and freshman Mallory Kent. Competing as individual will be senior Allison Travis.
Last Week: The Cougars competed in the Pat Barnard Invitational, hosted by Stanford University. The Cougars finished ninth in the 10-team field and were led by junior Kristen Allard, who ended the two-day event with a score of 155 on the par-71 course and tied for 28th overall.
