KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- Junior Emma Betland led Washington State with a 4-over 76 during first round play at the Mercedes-Benz SEC/Pac-12 Challenge Friday Oct. 21.

The Cougars completed the first round with a score of 312 (+24) and is tied for 20th place.

Junior Ali Thompson fired a 77 (+5), while Freshman Kristen Rue carded a 79 (+7). Sophomore Mallory Kent shot an 81 (+9) and senior Kristen Allard carded a 91 (+19).

"I was proud of how the team fought today," said Head Coach Kelli Kamimura. "We finished strong and I look forward to a great day tomorrow."

Play continues Saturday with the second round scheduled to tee off at 9:30 a.m. Live stats will be available at golfstat.com.
