STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Anastasia Kostina continued her streak of outstanding play, Friday, and is currently in third place at the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate.

Kostina fired a 2-under 68 in round one of the three-round tournament, and is only one stroke back of the leaders. She is currently ranked No. 30 on Golfweek's women's individual rankings and has finished in the top-eight in each of the season's first three tournaments.

The Cougars are in sixth place as a team, ahead of Golfstat top-25 teams New Mexico (10), Texas (11), host team Stanford (20), Southern California (21), and Tulsa (24).

Stephanie Parsley and Kim Welch each shot 74 (+4), Maria Kostina shot 76 (+6), and Jay-Lee Longbottom shot 79 (+9) to round out the scoring for the Cougars.
