HALF MOON BAY, Calif. - The WSU women's golf team concluded its regular season schedule at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Tuesday, finishing in 12th place. The Cougars posted a 291 (+3) in the third round, recording their lowest round team score of the season.

Freshman Kristen Rue fired a five-under 67 in the third round, totaling her tournament score at 219 (+3). Rue finished tied for 22nd, her sixth top-25 finish of the 2011-12 season. Her 67 is tied for fifth on the all time single round score list, one stroke shy of the school record. This is the second single round score record for Rue, who also is tied at 14th with a 69.

"I am very excited for Kristen and her round today," said Head Coach Kelli Kamimura. "She is a talented player who is very dedicated."

The Cougars posted a 291 (+3) in the third round, recording their lowest round team score of the season. The round also enters the team low round record book tied for 8th. WSU finished 12th with a team score of 893 (+29).

Sophomore Mallory Kent carded a 75 (+3) in the third round to finish tied for 36th with a total of 222 (+6). Junior Emma Betland posted a 74 (+2) for a total of 228 (+12). Betland finished tied for 57th.

"I am proud of the team and how they played this week. We posted solid rounds in a very competitive field," commented Kamimura.

Senior Kristen Allard and Freshman Lindsay Harmon both tied for 70th with totals of 232 (+16). Harmon carded an 80 (+8) in the third round and Allard shot a 75 (+3), her best round of the tournament.

WSU will host the Pacific 12 Conference Championship April 27-29 in Pullman.
