Mallory Kent Leads Cougars in Hawaii

KANEOHE, Hawaii - Mallory Kent is tied for 13th after two round of the 28th Annual Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by Hawaii with 18 holes left to play.

Kent made six birdies, Tuesday while carding a 1-over 73 in the first round and a 3-over 75 in round two.

The Cougars sit in eighth place in the 16-team field. No. 7 Arizona (+6) has a 14-shot lead over No. 45 Ohio State. Washington State (+37) is seven strokes out of the top five.

Other competitors for the Cougars include Kristen Rue (+9), Emma Betland (+12), Rachel Lewis (+15) and Lindsay Harmon (+17). Nani Yanagi, playing as an individual in her home state, is 20-over after two rounds.

The tournament concludes, Wednesday with a shotgun start at 11 a.m., Pacific/8 a.m. Hawaii.
