Barry Niemann is in his first season as assistant coach for the Washington State men's and women's golf teams.

The Houston, Texas, native spent his previous five months on the Palouse as an assistant coach at Idaho.

A PGA of America member and a GCA accredited club maker, Niemann spends his spare time umpiring high school and junior college baseball games.

Niemann completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M with a degree in business management. He and his wife Dr. Yolanda Flores Niemann, PhD have two children, Russell (28) and Mychaelanne (25).
