Nine Cougars Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Rowing Honors

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University rowing squad placed a combined nine student-athletes on the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic rowing team, conference Commissioner Tom Hansen announced.
Senior Corrie McGrath and sophomore Gunilla Grafnings, members of the Cougar varsity eight boat that competed at the NCAA Championships earlier this month, each earned a first team selection marking the second consecutive year that the pair has garnered a first team accolade.
In addition to McGrath and Grafnings, seven Cougars - seniors Pamela Foley and Erin Walker, junior Emily Rains, and sophomores Deborah Curry, Kathryn Dahlgren, Patricia Goodell and Elizabeth Winsper - earned honorable mention selections.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and either be a starter or significant substitute.
