Eleven Cougars Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Rowing Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Washington State University women's rowing program placed 11 student-athletes on the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic Rowing Team, conference Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.

Five Cougars - Laura Barnes, Deborah Curry, Tristen Curtis, Corrie McGrath and Rosy Miller - earned a first team selection while six - Kathryn Dahlgren, May Lundberg, Angela Manson, Emily Rains, Christin Van Ess, Kelsey Wertzler - garnered second team honors.

On the men's side, Ben Fields received a first team selection while Chris Kanyer earned an honorable mention nod.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and either be a starter or significant substitute.
