HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in hockey, water polo and rowing for Springfield Convent at Cape Town, South Africa...captain of both the hockey and rowing team as a senior...rowed for South Africa at the World Junior Championships and finished 16th...won gold in the single sculls and double and a silver in the quad race at the South African Junior Rowing Championships...won a gold in the sculling double at the Senior South African Championships.
