Mike Stahlman
Mike Stahlman

Position:
Assistant Coach

Michael Stahlman is in his second season with the Washington State women's rowing coaching staff.

Stahlman arrived on the Palouse after serving as an intern coach at Princeton University in 2003-04. While at Princeton, Stahlman worked with the freshmen programs in the fall and in the spring, coached the third varsity lights and heavies. While serving on the Princeton coaching staff, he also coached for the Carnegie Lakers Rowing Association, an organization that offers rowing opportunities to the Princeton community.

Following his graduation for Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, Stahlman served as a manager for the Badger rowing team. As a student, Stahlman began rowing as a true novice for the Badgers, where he was a two time Intercollegiate Regatta Association (IRA) champion in the Open 4 and the Straight 4. He is also a member of the third class in the history of collegiate rowing to be a four-time Ten Eyck champion. The Ten Eyck award is given to the team with the most points at IRAs.

While rowing for the Penn Athletic Club, Stahlman was a member of the Intermediate eight crew that was victorious at the Club Nationals, as well as the Canadian Henley in the Senior B event.
