WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2008-09) rowed with the varsity eight...stroked both the women's open four and women's collegiate eight to first and second-place finishes respectively at the Head of the Oklahoma...contributed to second-place finish at the Head of the Lake...member of varsity eight that placed sixth at the San Diego Crew Classic and Pacific-10 Conference Championships...stepped onto the scene with the varsity eight as a SOPHOMORE (2007-08)...competed in the varsity eight and four that finished first at the Head of the Oklahoma...helped varsity eight finish first at the Head of the Spokane, Head of the Snake and Head of the Lake...helped varsity eight with victories over Washington and Stanford...assisted varsity eight in third-place finish at the Pac-10 Championships, and a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships...received CRCA first team All-American honors.

PRIOR TO WSU: Rowed to fourth, third and first-place finishes in the Junior World Rowing Championships under coach Rudolf Kopriva...first and fourth-place finishes in U23 World Championship...competed at Rowing World Cup 2004-07.

PERSONAL: Irena Neffeova...born in February of 1985 in Prague, Czech Republic...father Karel Neffe is a private salesman and coach...mother Irena Neffeova is a dentist...twin brother Karel is a professional rower...majoring in horticulture at WSU.
