Cougars Complete Racing at Head of the Spokane

The Washington State women's rowing team competed against Gonzaga at the Head of the Spokane.

WSU CAREER: During fall season of JUNIOR (2010-11) year, competed as a member of the fourth varsity eight at the Head of the Spokane, the Head of the Lake, and the Head of the Snake, where it defeated Gonzaga...during spring season, rowed in the second varsity four at the Washington Dual, and helped to defeat Oregon State in the third varsity four boat at the Oregon State Dual...a member of the fourth varsity eight crew during the fall as a SOPHOMORE (2009-10)...crew competed in the Head of the Snake...rowed with the novice squad as a FRESHMAN (2008-09).

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in soccer and track and field...played forward/midfield on soccer team that competed at State Championship three years, losing the final game 4-3 as a junior...threw discus at State Championships as junior...member of United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, coached by Steve Revelli...placed fifth in western regionals.

PERSONAL: Kelsey Lounsbury...born in October of 1988 in Yakima, Wash...father Richard is a batch plant supervisor...mother Martha is a travel agent and restaurant owner...majoring in movement studies at WSU.
