WSU Varsity Four Highlights a Solid Day of Cougar Rowing

Each varsity four boat defeated its Husky counterpart Friday.

WSU CAREER: Rowed for the second varsity four fall of JUNIOR (2011-12) year...competed in the spring with the open eight and helped the second varsity eight defeat Gonzaga dual in dual action...honorable mention Pac-12 All Academic...during fall season of SOPHOMORE (2010-11) year, rowed in the second and third varsity eight boats...during the spring season, competed in the second varsity eight boat, as well as the varsity four, helping to defeat Oregon State...helped the second varsity eight boat to a fifth-place finish at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships and 10th-place finish at the NCAA Rowing Championships...received honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic honors...competed with the novice team as a FRESHMAN (2009-10)...crew won the Laurel V. Korholz Perpetual Trophy at the San Diego Crew Classic...novice eight finished second at the Lake Natoma Invitational...finished fifth at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in basketball at Eastmont High School at East Wenatchee, Wash.

PERSONAL: Stephanie Jo Hinkle...born October of 1990 in Wenatchee, Wash...mother Jane and father Joe...one brother, Eric and sister Nikki...hobbies include camping, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, knee boarding, and snowboarding...double majoring in kinesiology and pre-dentistry at WSU.
