Cougars Complete Racing at Head of the Spokane

The Washington State women's rowing team competed against Gonzaga at the Head of the Spokane.

WSU CAREER: During fall of JUNIOR (2010-11) year, competed in the varsity eight boat that defeated Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stanford, Iowa, and Gonzaga...for spring season, rowed in the second varsity eight boat, helping to beat Oregon State and finishing fifth at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships...helped the boat to a tenth place finish at the NCAA Rowing Championships...also selected to attend the USRowing 2011 Under-23 National Team Selection Camp...competed with the third varsity eight crew during the fall season as a SOPHOMORE (2009-10)...during the spring season competed with the varsity four and second varsity eight boats...competed in the four at Washington...varsity four placed second at the Lake Natoma Invitational...moved to the second varsity eight crew prior the regatta at Gonzaga... second varsity eight crew placed fourth at the Pac-10 Championships and eighth at the NCAA Championships as the Cougars captured 13th as a team.

PRIOR TO WSU: As a FRESHMAN (2008-09) rowed at Clemson University...participated in U23 Freshman Development Camp.

PERSONAL: Elizabeth England...born in February of 1990 in Richlands, Va...parents David and Patricia work as vintners...father David played basketball at Emory and Henry College...younger brothers John and James...majoring in movement studies at Washington State.
