WSU CAREER: Spent the fall season of SOPHOMORE (2011-12) year with the second varsity eight...second varsity eight boat defeated Gonzaga...varsity eight defeated Oregon State, capturing the Crawford Plate and helped the team capture the Winchell Cup for the third consecutive year...Pac-12 All Academic First Team with a 3.92 GPA...competed with the novice team during FRESHMAN (2010-11) year, helping the team to a fourth-place finish at the San Diego crew classic...also fourth-place, finishing ahead of UCLA, Stanford, and USC at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships. HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in track and field at Auburn-Riverside High School...earned team captain honors during junior and senior years...as a freshman, placed fourth in 4A State track and field championships...as a senior, placed ninth in 4A State track and field championships...state cross-country competitor as a senior...also played soccer in high school. PERSONAL: Elise Kathryn Jones...born in November of 1991...parents Timothy and Nancy attended Washington State before becoming an electrical engineer and para-educator, respectively...brother Dusty currently attends WSU...grandfather Vern attended WSU...maintained a 4.0 GPA through high school... played the alto saxophone throughout high school...enjoys biking, camping, piano, running, and playing the saxophone...pursuing a degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures and a minor in math at WSU.
