Cougars Complete Racing at Head of the Spokane

The Washington State women's rowing team competed against Gonzaga at the Head of the Spokane.

WSU CAREER: Member of the varsity eight boat during fall season as a JUNIOR (2010-11)... helped varsity eight capture first at the OGE NightSprint at Oklahoma and beat Gonzaga in the Head of the Snake and a dual at Gonzaga...redshirted spring season...earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors...member of the varsity eight boat as a SOPHOMORE (2009-10)... helped the varsity eight to three victories over Gonzaga during the fall season and a second-place finish to Washington at the Head of the Lake...in the spring rowed with the varsity eight to a fourth-place finish at the San Diego Crew Classic and third-place finish at the Lake Natoma Invite...member of the Cougs' varsity eight that took victories at Washington and at home against Oregon State...varsity eight finished 14th at the NCAA Championships, as team finished 13th overall...named all-Pacific-10 Conference and to the CRCA All-America Second Team and All-West Region First Team...also named to the Pac-10 Rowing All-Academic First Team...rowed in the novice eight and varsity four boats as a FRESHMAN (2008-09)...part of novice eight that placed third at the San Diego Crew Classic...helped varsity four win the petite final at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships...in the summer of 2009 won gold in women's four and silver in women's eight for British Columbia at Canada Games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rowed three years for Glenlyon-Norfolk School, transferred and rowed for Shawnigan Lake School as a senior...won British Columbia title in women's pair and rowed to a second-place finish at the Royal Canadian Henley with current WSU teammate Sarah Powell...won Head of Shawnigan, Elk Lake and Hungerford Cup Regattas...won a pair of silver medals at the Brentwood Regatta...senior year won silver for top female sculler...placed third at Monster Erg...invited to junior national team camp.

PERSONAL: Kaitlyn Dick...born in November of 1990 in Victoria B. C...father James is a mechanic and mother Rose is a nurse...younger brother Michael...academic and civil leader in high school...enjoys cycling, running, Pilates, and reading... majoring in pre-law at WSU.
