What's Happening: The Washington State women's basketball team plays the last of three road games to begin the 2010-11 season at Portland, Thursday, Nov. 18 for a 7 p.m. tip. The Cougars play their home opener, Monday, Nov. 22 vs. Nebraska at Beasley Coliseum at 7 p.m.

Series History: Thursday's game will mark the seventh all-time meeting between Portland and WSU. The Pilots have won five of the six previous meetings, including a 79-53 win at Pullman, Dec. 13, 2009. The Cougars' lone win in the series occurred Nov. 29, 1985, a 84-71 win in Portland.

Last Week Recap: The Cougars opened the 2010-11 season dropping a pair of road games to St. Mary's and UC Davis. WSU fell to St. Mary's 73-69, Nov. 12. Freshman Sage Romberg led WSU with 19 points, while Jazmine Perkins added 17 and Rosetta Adzasu 15 for the Cougars. Two days later, WSU fell at UC Davis 77-38. Katie Madison led WSU with 12 points. April Cook (back) sat out the weekend's games and her status is day-to-day.

Making Some Noyes: With five blocks last week, including four against UC Davis, sophomore center Carly Noyes increased her career blocks total to 62, seventh on the school's all-time list. Noyes is sixth behind Bianca McCall (2002-04) for sixth place on the list. With 2.5 blocks per game, Noyes is third in the Pac-10 in that category.
