PULLMAN, Wash. – Former Washington State women’s basketball guard Rosetta Adzasu recently signed a professional contract with the Kerava Energia in Finland.

Adzasu was a two-year letterwinner for the Cougars, appearing in 62 games and starting 26 while leading the team in assists the past two seasons. In just two seasons at WSU, the West Linn, Ore. native finished her career with 382 points, 171 rebounds, 194 assists and 125 steals. As a senior, the 5-5 guard was second on the team with 7.4 ppg in conference play, posted eight double-digit scoring efforts and helped the Cougars reach the semifinal round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.

“Thank god for such an amazing opportunity to get to continue my basketball career and travel the world,” stated Adzasu. “Coach (June) Daugherty took me in as her first junior college transfer, which a lot of Pac-12 coaches don’t do, and gave me an opportunity. I’d like to thank her, the coaching staff and my amazing teammates for keeping me on board at WSU. It was a pleasure playing at Washington State and a big thank you goes out to the staff and the Cougar family. GO COUGS!”

Adzasu leaves for Finland Sept. 16 and games begin Sept. 22.
