The Washington State University school year 2007-2008 has begun and there is so much excitement in the air. The freshman orientation week was fun and full of "get to know everyone" events everywhere on campus. The dance and BBQ to welcome new students to the ZZU Cru was a blast. National Coach of the Year, Tony Bennett and I had a chance to meet a lot of new students and invite them to our games. Thanks for the fun evening ZZU Cru! You are all crazy and cool!

Our first practice in the state of the art practice facility as WSU coaches occurred August 22! For each of us it was a day full of fun and excitement as we began coaching our team members for the first time! The players were eager to learn and worked hard to master a new playing system. Certainly we have a lot of work to do to get to our goal and high expectations but it was a good start.

Congrats to the volleyball team starting out 4-0 this past week. And I want to wish football great success in Wisconsin this coming weekend.

Until then, we'll get working on week two of Cougar basketball.
