WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - For the second consecutive season Washington State University had five women's basketball student-athletes receive Pac-12 Conference All-Academic accolades, conference commissioner Larry Scott announced Thursday.

The five selections are tied for the most in the conference with Stanford University and match a program-best, set last season, during head coach June Daugherty's five seasons at WSU.

Senior forward Rosie Tarnowski was named to the five-member first team with a 3.58 GPA while majoring in education. Tarnowski is WSU's first first-team selection since Kate Benz received the honor three straight years, 2005-07. The Philadelphia native picks up her third career all-academic honor after earning a spot on the second team last year and receiving honorable mention as a sophomore.

Redshirt-sophomore guard Ireti Amojo, redshirt-junior guard Katie Grad, junior forward Carly Noyes and sophomore forward Sage Romberg each received honorable mention. It is the third straight year receiving all-academic honorable mention for Grad. Amojo and Noyes each received the same recognition last year and Romberg picks up her first career academic accolade.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
