What's Happening: Coming off a win at Oregon State, the Washington State women's basketball team (3-13, 1-3 Pac-10) returns home to face California (10-4, 2-1), Friday at 5:30 p.m. and No. 4 Stanford (12-2, 3-0 as of 1/12), Sunday at 1 p.m.

Cougars on TV: The Jan. 14 game versus California will be broadcast live on FSN Northwest. Friday's game will mark the first of three appearances for the Cougars on TV during the 2010-11 season. The Cougars' match-ups at Washington (Jan. 30) and at California (Feb. 12) were selected as part of the Pac-10's 20-game package with FSN, and will be televised nationally.

Webcasts on WSUCougars.com: Sunday's game vs. No. 4 Stanford will be webcast live on WSUCougars.com. The Stanford game marks the first of five live webcasts of Cougar basketball games at WSUCougars.com during the Pac-10 schedule. Ticket Special for Cal Game/Free Popcorn Sunday for Kids: Friday's Cal game features a ticket special of $2 off adult reserved tickets. In addition, it is WSECU Faculty Free Friday. WSU faculty and staff will receive general admission, courtesy of WSECU. Cal Series History: Cal leads the all-time series with WSU 35-19 and has won the last 11 games in the series. The Cougars' last win occurred, Jan. 27, 2005, a 79-69 victory at Pullman.

Stanford Series History: Stanford has never lost to WSU in the program's 50 meetings.

Back Home: This weekend's games mark only the Cougars' sixth and seventh games at Beasley Coliseum this season. During its 12-game non-conference schedule, the Cougars only played three games at home: Nov. 22 vs. Nebraska, Dec. 5 vs. Nevada and Dec. 7 vs. South Dakota State.

Ranked Opponents: According to the website rpiratings.com, WSU has played the eighth toughest schedule in the nation. Sunday's game vs. No. 4 Stanford will mark the fourth ranked opponent WSU will face this season. The Cougars hosted No. 21 (Coaches) Nebraska, Nov. 22 and played No. 14 (AP) North Carolina at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu, Nov. 26 and No. 8 (AP) UCLA, Dec. 31. The last time the Cougars defeated a ranked opponent was Feb. 10, 2001, when the Cougars defeated No. 22/19 Arizona, 93-86, in Pullman.

Last Game Recap: Freshman Sage Romberg scored a season-high 21 points and the Cougars allowed just two field goals over the final 10 minutes, 56 seconds as Washington State earned a hard-fought 58-50 victory at Oregon State, Saturday, Jan. 8. With the win the Cougars picked up their first conference win of the season and their first conference road win since defeating USC, Feb. 18, 2010.

Perkins' Treys Ranks High In the Pac-10: Jazmine Perkins six 3-point field goals vs. Oregon, Jan. 6 ties a Pac-10 high this season. In addition, her 14 3-point field goal attempts vs. the Ducks is a Pac-10 high. As a team, WSU has the Pac-10's top two 3-point field goal attempts in a game with 37 vs. North Carolina, Nov. 26 and 35 at Oregon, Jan. 6.

Making Some Noyes: With 26 blocks this season, sophomore Carly Noyes career total in that category stands at 83, placing her fourth on the school's career list. Noyes surpassed Cassandra Overby's 81 blocks for fourth place on the list with three blocks at San Diego State, Dec. 21. Noyes now sets her sight on Ebonee Coates' 101 blocks for third position on the list. With a 1.6 blocks per game average, Noyes is third in the Pac-10 in that category and her five blocks vs. Portland, Nov. 18 is the second-best single-game performance in the Pac-10 this season.

Nearing The 900 Club: Entering this weekend's games, April Cook is just two points shy of 900 for her career while Jazmine Perkins is 30 points away from the milestone. The duo will become the 17th and 18th players to reach the 900-point mark in school history.

News & Notes: Carly Noyes is the only Cougar to start all 15 games...WSU has used six different starting combinations and nine players have started at least one game...four freshmen (Hana Potter, Sage Romberg, Brandi Thomas, and Ireti Amojo) have started a combined 34 games...eight Cougars (Cook, Amojo, Madison, Perkins, Adzasu, Romberg, Noyes Potter) have scored in double-digits in at least one game this season.
